Over the course of your life, you're going to suffer all sorts of different ailments, and while some of them will be perfectly ordinary and you can see that your neighbor is suffering too, others are talked about a little less, and you won't always be able to see that they are normal. Many people are embarrassed about health problems and sometimes even too embarrassed to seek help. So if you're suffering in silence and feeling that there's something wrong but not sure what to do, go to a doctor. Here's a list of health issues people commonly suffer with but are afraid to say so.
Anything 'Downstairs'
Anything 'down there' seems to send people into embarrassment. It could be a
urine infection, piles or constipation, or anything else as there are many problems which could cause you to discomfort down there. A lot of these issues can be treated with products from over the counter though, so if you are embarrassed, you could try going to your pharmacist first.
Hearing Problems
This one really shouldn't be embarrassing, but it is, people associate hearing issues with aging, and they also get self-conscious and embarrassed about asking people to repeat themselves, or they feel isolated when their hearing starts to deteriorate. There is a lot you can do, though if you notice a change in your hearing, so make sure you
learn more about that now to prevent any further issues.
Odor Issues
Body odor is usually associated with armpits. However, it can also be a problem in the groin, anus area, upper thighs, and feet. If you are suffering then thoroughly washing your skin with a wet washcloth and soap is essential and you could also try using an antiperspirant before you go to bed and even
try changing your diet as fatty foods, oils, or strong-smelling foods such as garlic, curry, and onions have been known to seep through pores and cause body odor.
Sweating
This isn't life-threatening, but it can be really embarrassing and stop people from wanting to go out. Excessive sweating can also mean you have to frequently have to change clothes because of underarm sweating, avoiding shaking hands with people and missing out on social events due to worrying about sweating.
Mental Health
People are still embarrassed about suffering from mental health issues as they worry that it makes them weak, they fear they are not entitled to feel this way, or they don't know how to tell people.
Itching
Itching can be caused by so many things, but it can be really embarrassing if you find yourself scratching all the time. However, itching could be caused by something as simple as the clothes you are wearing or the
washing powder you're using, but it could also be a symptom of something more serious, like a rash or an illness.
Excessive Hair Growth
Women find
excessive hair growth particularly embarrassing; it is known as Hirsutism and is often caused by genes, hormones, or medication. If you do have more facial or body hair than you want, there are a number of ways you can look into removing it.
