Don't Cave To Your Body Battles

It can feel like your body is far older before its time, and that’s simply because we’re not treating it right. It can honestly feel like a constant battle to try and keep our body is shape, and our minds sharp. And it would seem that this is a battle we’re all failing at some point. Not only is it a lot of effort to maintain your body and keep it in peak condition, but it is even harder to battle through all of the mental battles we’re creating for ourselves. But the one thing that so many of us are doing, is caving to the battles that our bodies are throwing at us. On many occasions, we’ll take the easy route, and begin to become a little slack with how we’re treating our bodies, and we become extra good at ignoring all of the warning signs that would suggest we need to do more. So, carry on having a read of this article, and see which battles you commonly cave to, and how you can come back out on top quickly.

Aches & Pains

Most of us will experience aches and pains at some point in our life, and it won’t necessarily be when you’re old and grey and struggling to walk. It’s so much more common for young workers to be experiencing severe back pain. Most commonly, if you have an office job or a manual labour job, you’re more likely to experience pain due to postural issues, or heavy lifting. With aches and pains, it’s so important to use tools around you to aid recovery, such as a walking cane, and make sure you focus on resting your body as it needs. You can’t carry on doing everything you would usually do, you have to be able to listen to what your body is telling you, take it easy for a few weeks, and then come out on top. We cause some serious damage to our backs when we start to ignore the signals it’s giving us through pain, just because everyone else seems to be moaning about it as well!

Fatigue & Stress

Another common battle that we ignore and fall victim to, again, simply because so many other people seem to be going on about it as well. But as humans, we should not be so tired that every afternoon we’re battling to stay away. We should not be so stressed, that our minds are running into overdrive until the early hours of the morning. So focus on sleep first, because a lack of sleep almost always leads to stress. Seven hours is all you need to start by getting, you can then work to make it eight, which really is the sweet spot. Relax before bed, take a warm shower or a bath, and read a book. Leave your phone away, the TV off, and we promise you’ll fall asleep far easier after a few days of doing this. It’s all about routine. As for stress, more sleep and a better lifestyle will contribute, but it’s all about battling your mental demons!
